corroded?

ok, so my dad works for a water/fire restoration service and on one of his jobs, he brought me home a 5th xbox, so i tried plugging it in and turning it on,
so my first decision was to open it up and see if anything was wrong, as i was opening it i started seeing some rust on the metal cage edging so i thought it mustve gotten wet,
once i removed the harddrive and dvd drive, i saw this (powerboard):

so im asking for y'all to agree with me that its corroded from water damage, or tell me whats really wrong

yeah i just stripped it of all the part that werent totally destroyed, like the dvd drive that came with a free starwars battlefront 2

he took it from a house he was restoring? lol

yeah, the peoples house he was working on, their insurance was gonna replace anything lost in the damage, so he snagged the old one

it was till i started messing with it and trying to find a place to fit a panel thats 2"x2"
but now the case has a certain "destroyed" look
