Only problem I can see is since it's a gif the quality of the color to black part is waved up a little.  (You can see the transitions)
Not your fault that .gifs quality are poopy in transitions

I like it BTW.  Only thing I would say could make it better was if you made the girl change less than the background so she is constantly popped out.

I like it, its pretty.

I agree that it would make her pop out but it wouldnt give the same effect, well not as good imo.

i agree, i prefer the other one but still both look amazing. how did you animate it to change colour (the first one) im trying to learn digital art.

Guppy > Chief Squatting Hard > 1/2 Pint > Fart Sniffer > Tone Deff > Motor Mouth > Allumnist > King of the Wii-tards > Who Farted > Poker Champ > Chaos Lover > Bomb Maker > CyberPyrot Wannabe

Using Photoshop CS3, use the animation window (you usally have to manually open it), then just tween between frames of different colored versions of the layer

teh halo one kicks ass !!

But you should try making one side less blurry, Theoretically the parts turned away from the light source would be sharper but darker, if thats any use lol
