Wii Mote A Button Mod

Hey guys,
I am planning on doing the mod but when i tried, but for some reason, its hard getting the solder/wire to stick onto the golden contacts on the wiimote. Anyone have any ideas?

use flux. it should work if you put flux on it. did uou use my tut? use my tut and it will work

you dont always have to use flux you can just rough/scratch the point to where you want to solder to....pretin the wire then just tap the wire to the point and heat it up. it'll stick

flux makes it much easier for everyone if you dont use flux it makes it that much harder

I agree, flux makes the job a lot easier especially when soldering to such small points like LED's or IC legs.

hey its much easier if you take off the white plastic that's makin it harder for you then solder the led lights then put it back together
note: i found out if your wiimote doesn't work after this mod, it could've been bad solder or some circuits, just scrape off the solder then it comes back to live, thats what happened to me lol i tried get a 2 for 1 deal at bestbuy but i fixed it.

try heating up the copper pads(golden contacts) first and then touching it with solder coz that should make it stick better. than if the solder holds well simply attach the wire

can I use 0603 leds instead of 3mm leds?
