Need your help People! (led sound mod)
« on: July 15, 2008, 01:38:54 PM »
Ok, i've been modding a mates psp for him. been fine so far but i've been having some troble with the leds. i'm using the new sound board from wiredinput with red leds. i'm going to have 4 but for the moment i just need 2. for some reason they keep burning out.
i've checked to see if there is any place the could be a short but there is nothing i could see that could cause that. i'm using the 5v point just below the right specker connection and using the wifi swich as the ground. it all works but after a little while they burn out.

Do i need to add a resistor to the 5v point, say a 10ohms one. Hope you can help. :)

try putting the leds in series instead of parallel and use no resistor it should work perfectly fine ..... if you need a circuit diagram let me know....

thanks chase for this sig =)

but wouldn't that mean one of the leds would be brighter than the other?

Hey people! used the 3, 10ohm resistors and it worked. if i was to add another 2 leds to the soundboard would that mean i will need more resistors or would i have to remove one?
