Best Clear Shells

OK I looked around the forum and found links to clear shell providers. Does anyone know about the quality of these shells? I'm leaning towards Ghost Shells, is that a good idea? Thanks.

Ghost shells are good quality and look good.

Also i had put a dealextreme case on my friends DS lite and it was also good quality and very cheap.

I haven't tried the ghost shells yet but I know for a fact that the dealexteme shell are of REALLY good quality. In fact I think they are of better quality then the OEM ones, but that's just me.

the dx ones are really good quality but i wouldnt say they are better than oem. i had some parts from my original i had to use because the dx ones wouldnt work, but that was just buttons so didnt matter.

I sell ghost shells and even though I really like them I would suggest staying away from them.  They have a problem with their plastic that no matter what you get these cracks along the sides of the buttons and on the bottom of the case near the stylus slot.  They really do not affect it but dealextreme ones are better it sounds like since I have not seen this problem on them yet.

I just bought a DX shell. They have good reviews :hifive:

OK... looks like I jumped the gun a bit :whoosh:, I ended up buying a Crystal Ghost Shell. Once I get it and replace the case I'll post back here with the results.

If the results are good and I feel confident with my replacement skills I'll get a DX case and do another case replacement.

Thanks for all the advice - really helped me out :cool:

Well the cosmetics turned out great:

but the unit doesn't function :sadno:

I'm glad I did this though. Now I know exactly what to beware of and what I need. I'm going to do another case replacement for sure in the near future.
