Rapid fire with lm555?

I followed a tutorial on acidmods, bought all the parts, and the rapid fire didn't work. What I wanted to know is,  can I use rapid fire with a Lm555 timer?

nope bill if he wants it fast as he can get it he dont want the cmos timer bro ... lm555 aka 555cn timer ic works much better just need diff parts then whats in you tut.
