12f683 Rapid Fire questions
« on: August 04, 2008, 09:10:24 AM »
Ok, I  bought a chip and two tact switches on ebay for $10 which I think is a pretty good deal. He said the rate of fire is 24 shots per second. Does it matter whether I use a matrix or Cg board or is the hex the same? Also, I bought an IC holder because I didn't really want to solder directly to the leads so I wanted to know if I should match the notches.

Also, it says to use this point for positive and ground.

Can I use this point instead for positive and another or the same point for ground?

Thanks

Yes, you should match the notches...just makes it easier to remember once you solder it in. And those points for power and ground will work. I have the new board and I soldered it like it is pictured in your second pic.
