it works, but it needs to be pluged into the wall, and unless you can find a cf -> ms converter (that doesn't have a limit, ie neo/datel) this won't work on the psp.

What do you mean needs to be plugged into the wall? Isn't that a battery pack attached to it?

the guy used a 2.5 inch hard drive and changed the interface from ide to compact flash which is the interface inside of that card he then used some external battery pack to run the hard drive because the ds only gives 3.3 volts of power.  This is basically what i want to do with the 1.8 inch ipod drive with a zif to cf converter and then neo 2 in one cf to memorystick duo converter... not sure if it will work though im still looking to see if i can find one for cheap.  Idk maybe it works because cf and ide are very similar interfaces.

Dude pls stop making these threads you cannot put an hdd in the psp yet unless you are a seriously good programmer and engineer with years of education and experience as g8nprwfl said in one of the billions of other threads about this there are testbeing done but only specific small uncommon hdd are unstably supported and will probably never be more developed as it would require lots more development and this aproach to adding an hdd to psp is verry ineffective

Agreed and shussainu, STOP posting a billion threads like this! READ a few threads down and EVERYTHING would have been ANSWERED.
