Lets make a FAQ for mods and sticky it.

All the questions that are asked over and over are for a reason

It is asked because it is on so many peoples minds.

The person asking may not know it has been asked over and over,
a lot of us have been here a period of time and have heard it over
and over.

What we need to do  is a good write up and have the admins
make it a sticky so it sits at the top of the page and can be
seen like all the other stickies.

Try to make up FAQ with all the standard questions that are
asked over and over and over.

Maybe even make a sticky that lists the major questions about
hard drive, speaker mod, led mod, and any others we can think
of. It would have links that take a person to the threads that
discuss what they are looking for answers for.

Something like "Have a question look here FIRST"

I would be willing to contribute some time to it

Maybe something like read this before you post.

It would be structured like

Hard drive in PSP <- clicking this would take them to the tutorials section with a stickied post that lists the
tutorials and major threads on that subject
Sound reactive mod <- clicking this would take them to the tutorials section with a sticked post that does the
same
and so on
and so on

That way if a new post of the any major information it could just be added to the topic that it pertains to.

One place one organized set of resources.

It would help the people that can't seem to use the search engine and if they used
the search engine it would first take them to the list of articles.

If it were to be spread out amongst a group it would not be bad.

Say if I did the Hard drive mod and gathered the info
and someone else took the sound reactive mod
someone else the speaker mod
ect......

And we feed the info to dslight as he has charge of the tutorials section

yes i agree 100% everyone who comes to the site will read that topic before posting and it will cut down on these repetitive stupid topics we really need something like that.


funny thing is this has been proposed here where ppl volunteered to help https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=20116.0 and nothing was done


here with all kinds of great ideas that staff has completely ignored like ADDING ACTIVE STAFF and ppl willing to sit down and do some work for the site the current staff just ignores ppl who offer to help it was suggested to have a new start of admins mods and all staff witch would be ideal but i dont see that completely necessary just add some the site keeps growing and staff is shrinking....  https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=20116.0
 
no offense to the tut managers but what exactly have you guys done to help the tut section scince the promotion? I havent seen much done at all and G8nprwfls tut for nslu2 could be posted as is and has plenty of info but it will just get lost in the pages of post if a tut manager doesn't do something
