backlight info - need some

i need to know everything there is to know about the psp backlight
the type of leds used
diodes that have the exact same properties as these leds except dont emit light
the amount of resistance of the backlight circuit
any other components used in the backlight circuit

The back light does not have to be running to run the PSP

You could even put a switch in line so you can turn the back light off if you want.

Why do you want to anyway ?

The PSP display is transmissive not reflective. If the back light is off you will not be able to see the screen
unless you put it in bright light and turn it to the exact angle you will see only shadows.

I mean seriously with the questions you asked and ur response to the answer I doubt your idea is even possible or it hosnestly cant be that cool you want to turn off the back light or cancel it out idk no point in hiding it what ever it is.

Yes what it is for dose matter because we will then tell you the best way to go about it after we know what the end result you are looking for is. Instead of answering a billion questions that don't even make sense about some random psp part witch is why gr8npwrfl didnt answer them and why he asked what you want to do so that we may inform you the best way to do it. Makeing it difficult to help you is not the way to get help just spit it out. Whats the big deal then if you dont care if other ppl know about the project, your asking for help on the project, but you expect to not say what the project is?

A:603 white leds 7 if i remember correctly.

A:no such thing as a 3 volt non light emitting diode that doesn't make any sense a resistor could convert the energy to heat.

Q:the amount of resistance of the backlight circuit
A: that dose not make any sense

Q: any other components used in the backlight circuit
A: a fuse and leds.

The LCD Datasheet also contains backlight info:

Max rated voltage:   29.4 v
Max rated current:   20 mA
There is also on/off timing and some other stuff in there as well.

This is what the backlight circuit looks like, there are seven LEDs in series as folklord36 and Alien_X said. The LED part# is NESW008B.
