PLEASE HELP DVD DRIVE

MY 1ST PROBLEM I HAD WAS WHEN EVERY TIME I PUT A GAME IN AND SHUT THE TRAY WAIT 5 SECONDS THEN IT WOULD SAY OPEN TRAY SO I ORDERED A NEW LASER AND INSTALLED IT TRIED IT OUT IT STILL TELLS ME OPEN TRAY CAN SUMONE EXPLAIN OR TELL ME WHATS WRONG THANKS

im willing to bet you need to put the newest iexreme firmware on it, some of the old stuff used to do that.  for info all you have to do is google xbox 360 open tray error

i had this problem on one of my 360s, either the drive motor went out, or the DVD drive board is dead/inoperable. If your lucky you can still extract the DVD key from the drive and flash a new drive with it, or replace the motor, in my case the board was completely dead which rendered my 360 dead unless i get someone to extract the chip and read it with a programmer

well my dvd drive opens and closes but when it goes to the dashboard it says closing closing closing and then says open tray and i just changed out a laser tonight so i crossed that out
