need help with my switch

hey guys i need a bit of help. i want to have a switch to turn my leds on and off. i bought this one from radio shack i wired it up in between the positive on my leds but it didnt work and the leds were off. can someone tell me what i did wrong, or how to wire that switch? ill post pics if you need, thanks guys





the last one is of the led setup. the positive is the right board and neg is left. i put the switch in the wire going to the left of the positive board. from there it goes to the power from the usb

idk i just bought the smallest one i could find, i guess that wasnt the best idea but do you think you could look at it at radio shack and see if you could figure out how to wire it? it has six prongs, 3 on either side, and a 3 position sliding switch. i figured that you just put it in between the positive on the pins across from eachother, but it doesnt make a connection that way, unless i wired it wrong. what do you think?

thats the problem i just bought the smallest switch there was...dumb move...i dont really know anything about it haha. i tested the link and it seems fine, but heres the radioshack part number #2750007

psh is this it? 6VDC 0.3A DPDT Slide Switch...  6 volt?
