need help with my switch

hey guys i need a bit of help. i want to have a switch to turn my leds on and off. i bought this one from radio shack i wired it up in between the positive on my leds but it didnt work and the leds were off. can someone tell me what i did wrong, or how to wire that switch? ill post pics if you need, thanks guys :hifive:





the last one is of the led setup. the positive is the right board and neg is left. i put the switch in the wire going to the left of the positive board. from there it goes to the power from the usb

idk i just bought the smallest one i could find, i guess that wasnt the best idea :( but do you think you could look at it at radio shack and see if you could figure out how to wire it? it has six prongs, 3 on either side, and a 3 position sliding switch. i figured that you just put it in between the positive on the pins across from eachother, but it doesnt make a connection that way, unless i wired it wrong. what do you think?

thats the problem i just bought the smallest switch there was...dumb move...i dont really know anything about it haha. i tested the link and it seems fine, but heres the radioshack part number #2750007

psh is this it? 6VDC 0.3A DPDT Slide Switch...  6 volt?
