I am the author of a hex that performs ps3 rapid fire. I sell my kits on Ebay for only $15. I will program the PIC16F684's if you mail them to me. I will program them for $3 per chip plus return shipping. Sound fair?

I will trump ack's offer with 2$ per chip programmed INCLUDING return shipping with a minimum order of 10,
so that 2$ per PIC + 2$ per program x 10 = 40$ including return shipping for 10 programmed chips
Derp.

You have a programmed PIC rapid fire for the PS3 too? What chip is it on. My mod is on the PIC16F684 like he is asking for. Again, we're talking PS3 here. How is yours installed and what is its function?

I have no idea why you would use a 14pin chip for this. The 12F683 is more than adequate and easier on space.

I am actually in fact revising it using a 12F683 with a little help in order to get around the COD5 patch. The install will be much easier and require less parts.

Nope. I actually just finished my hex. You only need a PIC 12F683 and an NPN transistor. Works exactly like my 14 pin kits. I'm going to be working on an install tutorial for this new kit at some point this weekend.

Correct me if I am wrong: You need the bilateral switch for the Dual shock 3, but only need a transistor for the other types. (?)

Good question. I've only tested it on a sixaxis. Let me do the DS3 and I'll let you know for sure.
