Classic hard drive in video?

I've been thinking about upgrading my ipod's hard drive.  I looked on ebay and the price of a 160gb ipod classic hard drive is about $90-100 and I've been wondering can you use a classic's hard drive on a video?  I think they use the same connection, I would probably have to get the 60gb back for the video to fit it in.  I just don't know if it will work in a video.
