hey

im wanting a new router it needs to be N and also have built in broadband modem preferably adsl2+ compatible.

here are some options i have found. tell me what one you think or suggest a different one.
dlink DSL-2740B
N1 Vision Wireless Modem Router
NETGEAR RANGEMAX™ NEXT WIRELESS N ADSL 2+ MODEM ROUTER - DG834N
linksys WRT350N

no its for my home im using my timecapsule for my uni dorm.
im not to sure about the netgear as i have had problems with it a few times. i currently have a netgear but for some reason even after a reset it wont let msn work in mac and aparently my isp doesnt block any ports so i cant see any other option apart from my router as ive even tried fresh installs of mac and msn. thats why i always use a web messenger

ive always linked the quality of the linksys routers and other items, but its up to you

Logitech and Linksys are the two brands I trust when it comes to tech,and currently I'm running a Linksys Wireless-N router on my dorm and charging people to get on (pretty much no one has a wireless router) so for a dollar a month they get keys.  I'll have the router paid off in 3 weeks  :yess:

cool well i might go with the linksys unless anyone has any other suggestions. also what do you think of belkin.

i have been using a belkin one (not N but a G one) and i have had a few problems with it. it just happened to lose settings and required me to reset it a lot of times then i got another one and i had the same problems with it too... but however that was G i dont know how the N one would be.....

My Netgear is fine, has been for the last 3 years.

I Would only buy Netgear or Apple Network Tech

I thinks that I will give the linksys a try as the last two netgear routers I have had have suffered from oerheating and the odd drop out. Pluss I think the 350n is compatible with de-wrt which is good


Do any of you know of it's possible to revert to the origioal firmware from linksus
