modding my flash drive...

im going to put some leds in it, because it has this band around it that is made of clear plastic and its like its telling me to put some leds in there hehe... but does anyone know how many volts come from usb ports?

I did this to one of mine. Swapped the disk access led to red and added a second disk access led. =]

Not true there are 12v and 24v USB ports used for printers. But you would know if you had one they look funny and are marked

is amperage going to matter for putting leds in a flash drive? if so how do i find the amperage, i dont have a multimeter

would 2 3mm 2ma leds draw too much curent for the flash drive to function? and would it be better to wire them in series or parallel?

the worst that will hapen is that the usb port will shut down. then all you have to do is to uninstall your usb drivers and reinstall them. they shut down to prevent damage so not to much risk
