Where to start on my DS?
« on: August 12, 2008, 05:46:40 AM »
Ok i have baught a broken DS lite but only needs the motherboard replacing. Is there a certain motherboard i need or are they all the same?

Thats my first step to get a working DS, my DS has clear housing but i need to change that to red.
I need OEM red housing, does anyone have OEM for sale?

So then ile have a working Red DS, Now i need a dstt card and a sd card.

Is there a certain dstt card i need for my DS? Whats an R4 card?

IF they are all the same does anyone have a DS dstt card for sale? cheap :cry2:

Thanks

Honestly you're better off NOT getting an R4, only due to the fact that they are infact getting more expensive since nintendo and like 12 other companies are bringing up lawsuits. You can try dealextreme for a number of "homebrew" cards that they have. Unless you're reffering to the black/red OEM case for the DS lite, then clear red or solid red won't be OEM from what I remember, and you can either check ebay or dealextreme again for it.

Also there is a red housing for OEM.

yeah dont get a r4 2 or r4 III or r4 upgrade, they are fake and will eventually be bricked by the official r4 software

i just checked focalprice.com, and if they are selling what i see in the pics then its not fake
its just like mine

nope, no problem with it, M3 is exactly the same, its just 5 letters and 1 number different for whatever reason

ConsoleZombie has DS Lite motherboards, if I recall.

The best flashcart? CycloDS Evolution. Before I bought one I decided to go with an R4, but when I did more research, I realized the CycloDS was better (at the time). It had some competition with the Supercard DS One, but now it has overcome it's competitors and I can safely say it's the #1 flashcart on the market.
My Stuff:
- 1 Unmodded DS Phat, original
- 1 Onyx DS Lite, broken power switch
- 1 Coral Pink DS Lite, under repairs. To be for sale later
