do i have the right supplies for sound reactive led mod?
« on: February 16, 2009, 02:32:06 PM »
I went to radio shack today and picked up the following

5 - 220k ohm resistors
5 - 33k ohm resistors
1 - LM386N audio amplifier IC
and a pack of assorted enamel coated magnet wire (because it was the only thing that had 30 gauge wire, and has different colors)

im mostly concerned about the wire though, is that useable for this project? it doesn't have the rubber around it like other wire, but it says enamel coated...

also i can't access the sound mod tutorial...

please respond :)

Yeah and if you're gonna do that method, use 191k ohm resistors, and the magnet wire will work I think, but I think it tends to cause more shorts than kynar wire.
