AcidRock Controller Mod
« on: September 10, 2008, 06:34:13 PM »

This is a 360 with a Line in jack. this 360 allows you to introduce music into your games for online play. With this mod you and your friends can rock in a game of halo to the same music. This makes for som e interesting matches...

You better put a disclaimer on that... I can see a lot of 8 year old's getting muted. Aside from that its cool... That jack does not interfere with your hand?

there are a few bugs to work out like the mic has to be reset to talk.. I hope we can solve this with a chip and a mute button.. Also we want to have a loop back for the person playing the music can hear it as well.

Am I'm the only one that thinks that this is really stupid, it's going to annoy the crap out of me, plus the sound is really bad threw the mic head phones, so it doesn't matter it's going to be really annoying and sound bad.  I can see alot of ppl getting muted because of this.

main reason it sounds so bad is because its through a mic, this eliminates the mic and the background noise, whatever you would hear or of headphones or a speaker or whatever you have the music player attached too, thats the quality you would get out of this. so if you get bunk quality, its your music player or you did a horrible job on installing it....

this is true since it is a digital signal going throught the mike input the sound quality is good the only problem we have had was the volume since it is a digital feed we have to turn the volume way down or the person on the other end gets blasted... And no we did not make this to annoy people we thought it would be cool if every one could rock to the same music in Halo in privet matches...

It might not be too hard, as I don't even think a chip is needed, but you gotta find the right places to solder to. To do this mod, but be fairly simple, but to develop it might be hard.

I'd say more than likely delayed, if not abandoned. They're always developing new mods - sometimes at a rate too quickly for themselves to handle, and things get pushed aside, forgotten, etc. There have been promises made a good half a year ago, that never materialized because a better mod was developed in place of it. Just wait, or try to develop something yourself. Ask-AM might take this, as I believe they aren't getting very much interest in that. Good luck...

There is no chip...it is a simple mod, just connecting the headphone input onto the microphone input, and a male-male 3.5mm audio jack...
