Why dont u just go with the burnmeup2.hex file and use the pics that are with it to wire the controller up, it has 3 modes and led indicator. IDK what you are talking about a tut but the on that i'm talking about is easy and works very well.

not sure why you are asking for a tut, and then posting a tut that has all the info you need.

There are several opensource projects like the one you just posted, as well as preproggramed chips at the acidmods store. (I think he has mode select in there, if not, harrass king mike, hes got em I know )
