I managed to turn my psp slim on a sec ago by shortly connecting the power and GND but it wouldn't show any picture or sound or whatever. just the backlight on and very vaguely a few vertical lines.
is this bad?
I think so since the only good thing would be if it would show me the xmb  :faint:

Make sure the LCD cable is in ALL the way and touching the pins.

You said a speaker pad on the mobo came off, correct?
Solder a wire from the small tin area where the pad was, directly onto the speaker. This way, it's connected for sure. If that doesn't work, I don't know.

I do get sound with a headset btw

RESOLDERED THE FUSE AND NOW IT WORKS!
