depends on the screen i think,is the driver for the screen on the screen or the mobo of the dvd player, are the inputs aux?what do you want to hook it up to,i think we could help you out here, a lot of people are good with screens and how to make them work, but we need more info than i got a broken screen

you said the only thing that works on it is the screen?how did you test this?do the a/v inputs show up on the screen?or does it stay blank, have you tried the out puts to a different screen?what kind of consoles are you wanting to hook to it?what kind is it?what size is it?like i said before we need some info to be able to help you, just saying i have a screen is like asking a bunch of artist what can i do with a gallon of paint?,there are countless possibilities only limited by what you can dream up(and what you can afford, lol)

It wouldn't be very difficult at all to get it working as a portable screen for a console - in fact, I bought a broken Polaroid 7" dvd player just for this purpose. It comes with the same AV in/out port (mini-phono type jack to rca type converter cable). Depending on how much work you want to put into it, you could just buy three Female-female rca converter jacks and plug them onto the end of the dvd players av cable, then plug the consoles av cable into the other end of the dvd players av cable. Or, you could take out the screen and it's pcb + the power pcb and whatever pcb would control selecting an av source, and desolder the mini av jacks and solder on full size rca jacks in place. Of course these are just some examples of the simpler mods you could do. If you really wanted to go all out you could just take the screen, the lcd driver, and the av input circuitry and make it from (almost) scratch.

Anyways, best of luck to you! And if you need any help, just let me know!
