The bottom diagram is the way that it syas to do it on acidmods, but the top one is a way that also works and dosent require any resistors.

They would be around the same quality and you ground it by soldering off a ground point on the PSP

for  my part, i already tried with the resistors one but it gave me kinda rly noisy crunchy sound when. otherwise there is sound from the music..etc..but bad
from there i always used the output directly to my speaker and i wish i could have something better than the normal psp output, i dont want it to be called amplified when its not, cuz i only use a bigger speaker with the same power......

actually both of those will work. I took the bottom one directly from acidmods. The top diagram I've personally used and it sounds excelent. I don't know why your saying it won't work?

i actually never seen the datasheet of the lm386, but here it is..im wondering if the bass boost makes a real difference with a gain 50.... ill try it....and they say for gain 20 that it needs a 250 uF cap, but whats the difference when you put a 100 uF one?

Well I don't know about the acidmods one, but I know the top way works great. I don't know what to tell you other than if it works, use it.  I don't know what the difference the 250uF cap would make. But the top way works fo sho.
