Xbox 360 controller mic input fix

I need help with one of my controllers. The part the headset plugs into on the controller is broken. It is sort of mashed inside the controller a little bit. If I plug a mic up to it I can hear it just wont let me talk and has a hard time recognizing a headset is plugged in. I have no digital camera so I can't post pictures but it is a newer mobo not the tp19 anyways. Any help would be appretiated

sounds like you just mashed the female plug in, open that puppy up and check the damage. or send it into microsucks, see if they can fix it

i already did open it up to check it out and it looks like it is all connected up still i cant really see why it isnt working unless the female connector has somethign internal broken. Also i cant even send pictures on my phone so i have no way of doing a picture i really need to go buy a camera when i get some money though

have tried a different mic to see if its the female one.

quick question, when you put your mic in, does it lean towards any side? thats usually a good indicator that its the female end, or it could be your male end. either way, id send it to gameroms, hes reliable

yea but u never kno it could be the mic that y he should test out other mics that work on his..
