PSP Phat cannot power on by switch
« on: October 23, 2008, 06:42:15 AM »
Hi all,

My PSP is unable to power on by the power switch, and I have to resort to using Pandora's Battery to turn it on. Strangely, it is able to detect the hold switch, so I don't think the powerboard is damaged; have checked all fuses and they seem to be working. A friend of mine suggested taking the whole motherboard out and testing it outside the PSP case in case it is a short from the casing, but I think that would go nowhere. Can anyone help?

Also if you want, get a paper clip, (small one) and you can push the actual turn on switch, (not the plastic thing, the switch inside) and see if it turns on.
