What is easier to mod?
« on: October 17, 2008, 09:28:22 PM »
Alright, so I've finally decided to do some modding on my semi-working psp slim that I've had for a while now. I originally intended to mod this when I got this, but due to its functionality, I didn't. Now, i've decided to sort of use it as a test dummy. But I was wondering - what's easier to mod, the psp slim, or phat?

i'd say the psp slim is easier to take apart, but some of the mods like the razor-x is quite hard due to the small contacts on the game buttons. led mods are pretty much the same as the phat, so i suppose it depends on what your planing to do.

I can say i was a phat modder but after i got my first slim i quickly got used to it and i enjoy modding slim more :)

I think that slim is a bit easier, but the razor is gonna be a :censored: to solder that connection

If you just practice a bit it isn't very hard.
My opinion is neutral.
I mean, LED mods are the same, but who cares about those?  :taunt:

Thanks for the input guys. Seeing as I'm a noob at modding, I was probably gonna start with something simple like putting in a jewel and trigger mods. So based on those mods, what is your opinion now?

Thanks. I suppose I'll go with the slim for now, since I already have one, and then I'll go on from there.

slim. it waaaay easier to mod. even though you'd think it would have less space, it actually has more space internally than the fat

The slim is easier to take apart but they are overall the same. Don't bother doing a USB charging mod cause you could charge it on the computer with a cable. I've been modding on a phat but since ive got the slim ive been planing on doing a trigger mod and trying to get a see-through umd door to get LED's onto it.
Happy modding
