Opened a controller for a customer anndd...
« on: November 03, 2008, 07:14:01 PM »
Well I was doing my usual LED mods and found this type of board!

It looks like the "newer newer newer newer" ones. Hate it when they change stuff around.. But this is totally different than what im used to seeing..

anyone else have one like this?

This isn't the first time I've been hearing about these mysterious new motherboards in the controllers. I'm gonna have to take a look into this.

I cant even find a light source for the PS button. Well I mean either the light will stay on all the time or only when its charging. My general TP point for the light doesnt work..

the piece that holds the plastic board (not sure what you call it) has been changed completely.

Ive ran into several different types of boards from the sixaxis to the dualshocks... This is why I took my Mod service off of ebay, because I was getting different stuff everytime...Doh!

do you have a pic of the back of it ? and you can solder wires from the payer 1-4 to make a PS button, its just that you would have to do 4 and it would be hard for all the wires to fit in properly. if anything you could prob make a external switch( a small one) and solder wires from the battery connector.

yeah thats the downside, it will only work with Player 1, im trying something new here in the next couple days using a transistor so you can use the LED + (same power is ran to all LED at once just different grounds) and ground it out somewhere else, ill try and keep you guys informed!  :#1:

if you sell it to your customers, and the PS button only work for p1 you should let them know so they don't get stupid and start arguing an stuff lol.

yeah, but this would be a really easy fix if you had a transistor to give the LED more power and activated from the Player LED +

Why not find your own points?
Rather than charging for other peoples work?

Would be more appealing to customers.
