Possible Gameboy mod project

Well im a little bored and wanting to take on a big project. I want to try and put all of my gameboy SPs guts in my orignal gameboy. It doesnt seem like to big of an undertaking but the biggest question i have is has any one tryed desoldering the stuff like the power plug connection and volume slider these are the things that would have to be moved and would be the hardest part of the mod. Other than that its just a lot of fiberglass and bondo to move the buttons and install them where the fit the orignal case. any input would be great

well how are you going to have the screem visble? its so wide,

it will fit in the outer grey area around the bricks screen just bearly its gonna take a lot of fabracation but it would definately be a cool mod when completed
