Problem
« on: December 15, 2008, 06:22:14 PM »
When I opened my psp today to check a problem I was having with my powerboard I found that half of my powerboard ribbon cable connector on the mobo had come off. I still have the over half but there are some pins missing from it. Idk what to do T_T So I need some help on how to fix this problem without buying a new mobo or connector. Thanks

So can I solder wire from the ribbon cable to the points where the connector was?

Try if you want, but if it doesn't work, don't blame me ]:
Why don't you just get a new one?
Its not THAT expensive, is it?  :dntknw:

2. I can't buy stuff online atm

you can get it brand new from dealextreme,

It's not that expensive seriously..

It's useless connecting those things, wasting time & not worth it..

I suggest it would be much better to get a new one,,

I know what you mean,

Hope this help..

There you go:

So, you know how it works,

I Think you will need to make a tiny connector, not that hard, like picture above, the red thing..

you will need to make as much as you've lost,

About the clip, dontt worry about that, just solder it straight each pins..

Everything should be okay..

Hey just a heads up Sanctus, http://newzealand.rs-online.com/web/ This is a great site for electronic parts ect. In New Zealand. Probably have the part you are looking for, as for installing a new zif connector...
