how would i change this part?
« on: December 30, 2008, 10:45:43 AM »
the backlight connector on my psp's motherboard broke off, similar to what happened to Sibobby1 (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=25611.0 )

i found a part online which was mentioned in the thread HERE: http://www.psxboy.com/326_PSP-LCD-Backlight-Cable-Slot.html

that's exactly what i need except i have no idea how i would take off the one on my motherboard then install this one, anyone done this? and thanx in advance

If you order that, try get access to a hot air rework station, maybe at school?

If not, you might be able to pry off the old with with an exacto knife

Tin the traces

Apply new one on

Solder

(But you have to be good at soldering, and have a pointy tip)
