PSP Help
« on: December 23, 2008, 09:43:44 AM »
My brother let his friend touch his psp and now it wont turn on but it charges. When you try and turn it on the power light goes on for a few seconds and then turns off. Ive taken the battery out, used different batteries, used just the charger and tried to pandora it but was unsuccessful. I can access recovery mode. He was just listening to music. It is a psp 1001 with 5.00m33-2.

Their might be a broken fuse, check if there is continuty between fuses

But that wont answer the question of being able to access the recovery menu

Could be something to do with the ID Storage

Were you smart anddid you do a nand backup and a backup of your IDstorage? If not, you have learned a very valuable lesson. If you have a psp, try seeing if the pandora works even on that, and if it doesn't, you probably shorted or blew your battery. If it works in yours, try doing a blind re-flash, they're sometimes necessary.

Thanks to HiddenVenom for the sig!

The problem is that it wont turn on with any battery or charger so I think it has to do with the power board, maybe a short somewhere. The wierd thing is I never did any mods on it or messed with the flash just minimal homebrew and isos.
