what else can i use to remove artic silver paste???

i bought a 360 off of ebay with all cables for 30 bucks. it has the RROD. i bought the 360 opening kit and artic silver paste, but i cant seem to find the compound that removes the stock paste. anyone know a store i can can get this from locally, or can i use some other compound

your help is greatly appreciated.

found this on another site "Just my 2 cents on how to easily remove silver thermal paste from cpu's. Use a pencil erasure to remove the paste then a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol to fully clean." i havent tested it tho.

Use some toilet paper and 99% alcohol.

Works great, dries almost instantly and can be used on open circuitry just fine.

if you have any goo-b-gone that stuff works awesome! Just dont get it all over the board, try and let it sit on there for a couple minutes then rub off with like a cotton rag or something of your choosing

Rubbing Alcohol and some Cotton balls Best bet is to put some alcohol on the Balls and keep rubbing... Oh and  cross your fingers and Hope the 360 isnt Fubar people lie.
