hmm.... mine greens are 3.4 and so are whites , blue 2.4 red 2.4 and yellow i think either 2 or 2.4
so i connected 1 led to speaker and tried another.....first one went dim another bright
first led was white and 2nd was red.....the red isnt very sensitive cuz if the musics loud even on psp it barely blinks while white does.
tried this on my pc speakers....

You have blue leds running on 2.4v? You sure? I think your red get's bright and your white doesn't because red has less resistance and currents like finding the easiest way to ground or something. And since red is so bright it will barely react while white is dim so it will react better I think. Were these in parallel or series? I think you should just add some resistors to the red led. You should probably ask someone with better understanding in electronics than me though...

oh nvm the blue ones are 3.4 same as white and green.
they were in paralel.
i bought 10 and 68 ohm resistors...i hope they work.
but i still have no idea how to connect all of them together when resistors are needed for yellow and red and not for greenblue white

Be quiet :( I said various times I needed somebody with better electronics knowledge, but no, you had to sit and laugh at us while we feebly try to figure out how to do this... Perhaps you should explain?

Alright I picked up a new multimeter after my old one died.... Here are my results:

No sound: 3.6v

With sound: average 3v

I don't know why voltage goes down when sound comes out but whatever. I think a 10 ohm resistor will do fine to prevent it from blowing. Should receive my LEDs in the next week or so, and when I do, I'll do some testing to see what resistor value reacts the best...

As for your question with different colored leds, I found a website that gives good info about it:

http://www.theledlight.com/ledcircuits.html

It's a section somewhere near the bottom.

so... i would need a resistor for EACH led?
"Why do the LEDs have to be the same color?" If you mix colors, say if you paralleled a red (~2.3V) and two blue (~3.5V), the blue LEDs would not light. Why's this? Because the electricity is going to take the easiest path it can to complete the circuit and in this scenario the red LED requires less energy, leaving the two blue unpowered and lonely. To fix this you would need to stick a resistor onto the leg of each LED to 'equalize' all of the LEDs

So you will be forced to run the blue at ~2.3v to make all the LEDs light up?

Okay. So you have say a 5 volt power supply, okay? Now,  blue leds run at 3v while red run at about 2.3v. So since the red uses less voltage to light up, all the voltage goes through the red and the blues don't get lit up. To fix this? You need the correct resistor on each led to equalize resistance. To do this, you just use the OHM Law if you're familiar with it, and if not, just use an LED calc. Put in your supply voltage (in our case, 5v) and the LED forward voltage (3v for blue, 2.3v for red), and the operating current (usually about 20mA). Then it will give you the correct resistance needed for each LED.

Here's a wiring diagram assuming your supply voltage is 6v and your blue leds run at 3.5v and your red at 2.3v.

I think you only read half the article. All this information was on the page, if you read through all of it.

Uh, no. Unless your white leds run at your supply voltage which I highly doubt. I think you might be able to do a half parallel/half series wiring but I'm not sure.

ok ok. what i wanna do is.... d pad abxy and by speakers all white leds, triggers blue, in the jewel 4 yellow 4 green 4 red going down in this order. white, blue, green are 3.4 v and yellow and red i think 2 and 2.4 not sure about yellow. So i wanna wire them so they are sound sensitive

no
what i wanna do is all front buttons and by speakers white....triggers blue and in the back in jewel my country flag's colors.... so they are yellow green red...thats why i wanna do that
