Kinda messed up LCD ribbon connector.
« on: January 03, 2009, 01:36:31 PM »
Ok, I might have messed up bad, but I'm not sure. So I was checking out my mobo after a problem I was having earlier. Then, when I was putting the LCD back in, I went to close the small latch and pushed it the wrong way down.  :faint:  So, It's stuck in the unlocked position without a piece to lock or unlock it. So I put the ribbon cable in firmly, and right now It's secured in place by a piece of electric tape. So now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place because I want to know if it works, but I don't want to ruin the lcd screen.  Any ideas  :beg: I'm kinda torn...

Thanks to HiddenVenom for the sig!

you dont need the black latch for the screen to work just put you screnn in and close it secure with tape or glue and voila it should work' :dribble:.

I'd suggest apoxy glue if you aren't planning on ever taking it apart again. Otherwise, electric tape will work fine.
