Will the hex code from the 12f683 work with the 12f629....if not would someone provide it to me? Thanks....and yes im a noob

No, the configuration is different and the programmer will know.  The pre-assembled code may work depending on what you're doing.  The general ports are the same by name, just the AtoD andCCP would be the difference between the 683 to 629...  HTH
