Get past 12f683 protection

Does anyone know if there is a way to break the protection on the pre-programmed microchips yet?  I bought the 3-mode DIY kit off of ebay from console customs.  Before I installed it, I put the chip in my programmer to see what would happen.  when I tried to read the code using winpic800, it read as a blank chip.  Is there anyway around this?

you bought the preprogrammed chip, not the code that is in it. I am sure there is a way, but there is no legitimate reason to do it except to rip off peoples code. stealing is not cool
