NEED HELP WITH XBOX RAPID FIRE MOD (URGENT)!!!!

I am trying to mod my wireless xbox 360 CG controller for rapid fire. i just bought a 3-mode sleeper rapid fire mod off of ebay, and it is here. i now have all the materials except for the resisitor. i read directions for it, and it says i need a resistor, but isnt specific about it. it has stripes on it that go brown, black, black, brown, brown. i have no idea what kind it is, or what kind i will need to do this. 
my controller is CG not matrix.
so please can someone tell me what kind of resistor i will need for this?
PLEASE BE VERY SPECIFIC AND DETAILED!!!

that resisis a 1k very common at any parts house.

thank you for the reply, but i have one more question. i looked it up, and i have 3 ones that are 1k, but idk which to get.
they are...
1. 1k Ohm 0603 Resistor
2. 1k Ohm 0805 Resistor
3. 1k Ohm 1206 Resistor

you need 1k ohm 1/4 w resistors if this is for rf its for the led on the board for rf indication you can get away with using a smaller one like 100 ohm or 150 ohm but best of luck and heres what i use

Those look like sizes to me... 0603 being the smallest. I'd go with whatever size you feel comfortable soldering with. Unless they aren't sizes, somebody correct me if I am wrong.

They are surface mount resistors. you need the ones that matt or famas posted.

if they were supplied by the person you bought the kit off, then yes

if not the wiring for your mod may be different, but the main principles remain the same.
