Thickness of speaker

I'm going to buying some speakers from mouser and I wanted to make sure they will fit. The speakers I'm looking at are .29in thick. Will that be able to fit inside the back of the PSP?

No, unfortunatly it would be a few millimeters too big.

I'm looking at a smaller one which is 0.16in. Would that one fit?

yes, that should be fine. basicly, you have 5mm in depth to work with on a slim umd area, so 0.16In works out to 4mm, which is perfect.
