[REQUEST] CS3 Tut for glowing lines

As the title states, does anyone have a tut or make a tut of how to make the glowing lines in CS3?
For example, the glowing lines from Phenomenal's picture here:

I didnt follow a tut for it, i just made it up (using some techniques i got from previous things)

I'm not sure if this is how he did it, but for the lines around the arm:

Use the pen tool to draw a spiral around the arm.
Right click, Stroke.
Then use the eraser to remove some parts of the spiral (the bits that go behind the arm)
The apply and outer glow to the layer to get the glowing effect.
Thats how I would do it.

For the other lines, just do the same but dont eraser anything.

Well i took the advice of the pen tool and this is what i got.



What i can't figure out is how to really make it glow and shine really, right now this one looks really dull and flat.

But I think its a mixture of different layer styles and blending modes but idk Im itnerested on seeign a tut too

You reminded me I wanted to learn how to do soemthing, Light Trails...

Exhibit A:

Finally Exhibit C:


See its kinda the same thing, and we both dont know how to do it lol....

And jsut to hijack yoru thread a little bit, but not really cos there kinda the same effect ...

How would you go about makign this sorta effect on a still image as opposed to an animation though?

Awesome, Thats the only way I know of doing it, By special photography or however you do it but I know its possible to do it in photoshop, I jsut havent figured it out yet o_O

oh and indy, you can do light trails easilly without any editing software.

basically you need to set your camera on a tripod or really stable surface and slow down the shutterspeed as far as it'll go, so all the moving lights get captured but the stationary background...remains.....stationary.

i too was interested in it when where i used to work i saw a cool one of hong kong harbor all the boats had these trails of light behind them, and one of the chefs, being asian, knew everything about how to do anything technology related.

Slightly different to how I did it but not entirely the same

I could write a tutorial on how I do it (I do it a lot better now, back in the day when I made this I was just learning the pen tool)

But it might get deleted like my old tutorial (I spent all day on it... then they just delete it for no reason, after it helped many)

Yeah I know how to do it with a camewra but I wanted to know how to do it jsut with photoshop =] like to add light trails places lol and glowing lines arent exactly what i mean btu the closest thign to.
