extending screen on a ds lite
« on: January 29, 2009, 07:23:31 PM »
Ok guys I'm trying to build a ds lite plexi similar to what alien_x did but I need to know how to extend the ds lite screens WITHOUT soldering. I was thinking about a sort of FCC extension cord for the screen to plug into, and plug into the existing motherboard clip. Problem is I don't know where to order the cable or the connect that would work. Any help would be appreciated.

Without soldering?

Impossible, sorry.

You cannot buy the ffcs or connectors easily which the ds lite uses.

What about soldering the connector to the FFC?

Extending it with wire is the only way (By cutting the ribbon in half).
