another psp led swap question
« on: February 04, 2009, 11:23:10 PM »
I have a question about the led power board swap for a psp slim.

I was wondering which points to solder the 0603 led to. Ive been looking at 4dp's power board but with no luck.

Im pretty sure that im supposed to solder the 4.9v+ to the charge led - but im not sure if that would make it so that the led turns on when i turn the psp on. I also though of soldering all 3 together with the led. If i did that i think it might just mess the whole current up

Any help will be appreciated greatly!

it's 4dP

try wiring the leds individually and put the leds in place

Sorry about the typo in your name lol.

I did what you said and tried all the different combinations. The 4.9v+ and the charge - did the trick.

It usually did a dim flash but if i got it into a sweet spot i would be temporarily blinded lol. Soldering it would probably fix that.

Thanks alot 4dP

Alrighty so i figured things out and got to work on trying to switch the led's. I searched all over the forum trying to find tips on ways to solder a 0603 led onto the powerboard or mother board w/o the use of wires. Could someone give me some info on how you did your swap?

I already tried putting the solder on the + and - points then putting the led on top of it and trying to solder it.
