Awe crap, help me
« on: February 08, 2009, 07:17:04 PM »
So I seem to have this virus... It doesn't let me access ANY site from Firefox. It used to be occasional, it's the error "Connection interrupted" thing.
Internet Explorer starts every now and then(what I'm in now). It normally just crashed on start.

NOD32 picks up NOTHING (And I KNOW I have viruses because a website had blocked me because of something I had)
Quote
Your computer (IP: *censored*) generates an attacking DOS requests at our servers. This attack was provoked by the spyware/virus named 'Troj/Rustok-N'
Like that. I know I have viruses, problem being NOD32 doesn't pick ANYTHING up.

Help me?

Check if anybody else is using your network, somebody I found was hacking my unsecured network, and downloading torrents via it, so I put on WPA2, silent ESSID etc and hacked his WEP ass and changed his password and attempted to Dos attack google... Im pretty sure he got a letter from his ISP... Thats what I always say, "If somebody hits you hard for no reason, hit them back twice as hard" (Or in my case, 10 times as bad)

My mom's computer had that similar problem. I know no one was hacking our wireless because we have it secured.
I just formatted and reinstalled her O.S.

secured doesn't always mean protected from all attacks ;)

I'm secured, it's not network related. I just scanned using a portable AV I have and so far it found like 87 things....

Yeah, I can crack WEP within 2 minutes (Including preporation, IV Collection, without clients etc) and WPA in about 20-30 minutes as long as it has a client

Thats why my router has mac filtering, hidden ESSID, WPA2, the works

But still, I know a lil way to get through mac filtering, did it before :D, and that allows me to connect at the same time... Not just change my mac address, like actually log in to the network, then I will just edit the settings to allow all mac addresses MUAWHUAHWUAHW

No because I downloaded it over a year ago. It's multiple AVs.
I cleaned out a keylogger and tracking cookies, but besides that nothing has been found and I'm still having all of these problems.
I'm not sure what I can even do at this point, except reinstall using my other Vista version and then install Kaspersky(It worked on that Vista[black edition] but not this one[home edition]...its stupid).

Yeah I'm gonna try that next since I seem to not have any more problems... this is weird.

I really hope I won't have to end up reinstalling Vista again lol

make a new profile on firefox, profiles always go weird after a while, i had one for like 3 years, then I could never open up the menu or anything like that, new profile and its perfect (It removes ur bookmarks though, so use foxmarks)

Figured out the problem... somehow it configured a local proxy for FF. Must have been the same virus that's GIVING ME THESE FRIGGIN' POPUPS EVERYWHERE. GAH.
