wow this could get long, LOL

sleeper==no exterior mods to the shell, no added buttons or anything
no chip==hot wire RF not good for the controller, not reliable
555 RF== home made rapid fire chip, there is alot of contraversy over these, if constructed corectly, they can be great, if not they can suck
pic RF==these arre the best they are micro chips programed to send the proper signal to force rapid fire. these are the most reliable and consistant. they allow different modes for different games and what not. ALL PIC's are not the same!!

if you are new to modding, buy a premod or a kit from the am shop on this site. if you are more experianced, or want to learn for yourself, crawl before you walk. start small, add an led, do the no chip mod, then move to the 555, then finaly move into programing a pic. the no chip is usless and the 555 has limits, but doing these mods will give you the skills you need for the more advanced mods.

good luck with how ever you chose to proceed, and rest assured the support team here at AM will walk you through waht you need help with, if you get in too much trouble, some members will allow you to post in the controller for repair/completion.

hope you got the answer you seek, if not ask agian LOL welcome to acidmods
