what does anyone think the possibility of soldering 2 CR-3100's together and putting it in a phatty?

I don't think that would really work. Thats basically like soldering two memory sticks together into one. It does not work. Thats why you need the cr-3100 in the first place because it has the required circuitry to make two memory cards work together.

So I don't think it will work to just solder them together. Someone may be able to create a circuit and a pic that will allow that but it will take a lot of work. But feel free to try it if you want. Someone with more knowledge then me on the cr-3100 should really make the final call though.

I agree with rceckspurt with it not working. Ive tried to do that with a 4gb Datel thing, soldered them both and it didnt read anything. It just flashed the memory indicator really fast. And they are similar kinda mods so im saying nope it wont work.
