my speakers...

something happened to my speaker, or is it the mobo....

so it was awhile ago something got stuck in my memcard then i took a toothpick and got it out, then my sound doesn't work anymore .... i got new speakers and it still doesn't work, but my headphone works, well duh to me its on  a different board  >< help please

Well if you're talking about your PSP, it should be posted in the PSP Section.

Could be the sound fuse.

Search bridge sound fuse and read up.

Yes, sounds like it's related to the headphones. The memory card slot and the headphone jack are both connected to the daughterboard. When you stuck that toothpick in you probably will have moved a part on the daughterboard that tells the PSP that the headphones are plugged in- which means the PSP will only have the audio through the headphones.
 In case you haven't yet realised, your PSP will pretty much have to be totally gutted to get to the daughterboard. Good luck.

   Was your psp internal speakers working while the foreign object was still stock inside? What kind of object was stock inside the memory stick slot? Perhaps something got shorted out, causing only the head phone jack to function.

I had a close look at my daughterboard, and the headphone jack is directly on the other side of the board from the memory slot. Also, right at the end of that slot there are two small resistors that may have been broken. Still, the best way probably would be to replace the daughterboard- or have some nice external speakers on the PSP
