Hey..
I currently have a camcorder that only runs on batteries (No wall plug or charger) [If you plug it into the computer via usb, it goes into an inactive mode to use it as a webcam]
So me and 802Chives were thinking of different ways to make it so I can plug in a plug that goes into the wall and we thought of either a switch to use either batteries or to use the wall plug, or we were thinking to have it recognize if it's plugged in and if it is, use the plug by default and if no plug is in, use batteries..
Both are great ideas but the switch is by-far easiest..
I really do like the second idea but there is not too much space in the camcorder..
So I want your opinions.. Which would be easiest to do? What parts would I need?
By the way.. The batteries I use are 1.2V (2 of them = 2.4V) and the wall charger is a nokia cell phone charger, 3.7V-DC
Which could I do? Cut off the end port that would go into a phone and solder the wires straight somewhere OR where could I find an input port (thing..) so I could plug-in and unplug the charger without having it there permanently..
Or what other things could I do?
I would love for it to be as portable as possible so I can take the charger with me if I need it, or not..
Thanks guys.. I would love to hear your opinions, facts, thoughts..
