HELP: WiFi light stays on even when the psp is turned off.

I started a thread over at PSP-hacks.com but not really getting much help:

I was wondering if anyone could help me fix this problem.
Here's my situation:

I have a PSP 2001 White Star Wars edition with CF 5.00 M33-6

When I put the battery in the wifi light turns on and stays on even though the PSP is off. Even when the switch is off the wifi light is still on.
It doesn't blink ever, it just stays lit forever.

- I don't know if it was dropped
- I opened it up and everything looked fine(but I could have missed something, let me know what to look for and I can tell you if its different),
- I have tried different batteries and they all have the same outcome.
- I also tried KeyCleaner but it didn't do anything
- I tried LED Control but it turns off every LED besides the WiFi LED

so if you could help me that would be awesome.
Also, I might be talking out of my ass with this suggestion, but it seems like the LED has more amperage? when I am using the WiFi the LED does SLIGHTLY get brighter as if the LED was actually working properly.

well , never had the problem , but i had a smilar prob , when i tried a wifi activated led mod , and as soon as i put my battery in , the lights would go ON , so i assume , something is shorting(less likely ) , or some contacts are touching ..., juts try cleaning out the MOBO with some alcohol , or something .....

what kind of alcohol? Bud? Natty Ice? or something harder like Jim Bean or Absinthe?  haha jk.

I didn't notice anything shorting anything when I opened it up.
