It can connect an external SATA drive and features a tiny bit on onboard storage so that the chip's firmware can be updated as needed. With the use of the WiiZii+drive, you can load mass amounts of ISO and homebrew files quickly. how, all it does is allow external SATA drives to be attached, it doesnt allow"back ups" to be run through disks (someone correct me if im wrong

actually I think all the disk drive connection is for is to replicate the modchip functions. And from there this special modchip lets you hook up a hard drive somehow.

Yeah ok, 104 is wayy too much for that thing. Wiikey is fine for me also =p, maybe I'll consider when they find a way to make it work with a usb HDD
