Simple mod idea
« on: March 05, 2009, 05:51:13 PM »
Hey everyone, I have an idea for a mods that will be pretty simple I think but would like some feedback on it to see if the way i thinking of doing it is the right way.

anyways what i want the mod to accomplish is when you open the doors on the 360 faceplate to the usb or memory card ports, I want to have light showing. so what i was thinking of doing was to wire 2 0603 smt leds to the middle led on the 360 ROL then run 1 led to in between the memory card ports and the other wither above or below the usb port.

what do ya think?  :whoosh:

i think it would be a cool idea for dark places

you could also try to make it so it only turns on when the door is opened, but that would need a hold button placed behind the door.

sounds good man.

you could pull power from the corisponding port. just need a diff resistor for each, the usb supplies 5v and the memory card supplies 3.3V

I was thinking of doing this a while back just for the hell of it.  I never did do it though too much procrastinating. LOL.  Let us know how it turns out
