DX replacement housings
« on: March 01, 2009, 07:35:14 PM »
How much tweaking is needed to get them to fit snug? Is there anything that is a common problem with these housings that I should be aware of? Just want to know if it's too much trouble to get one of these to fit before buying one.

Thanks :)

I've never had any trouble using any DX housings, for the phat or slim

Thanks :) Another question. For the button led mod, where am I drilling? I can't seem to figure out where nic0 drilled it in his tut... His picture had a huge watermark over it and it was sorta blurry in the first place.

In this image he had, it looks like he drilled into the side of the down and X buttons closest to the bottom

Keep the drilling as close as the bottom of the button as possible. Also just be advised that method only works with OEM buttons with the clear top later :D

O ya i forgot about clear buttons lol. Its the colored buttons from DX that you cant use. Clear buttons OBVIOUSLY work.

Edit: Here are the directional buttons I bought. This picture shows that it's clear.

Those are clear, but most of the colored ones that DX has are not clear but have the button image stamped on.
